I’m not dead.

May 15, 2011 | 3:22 pm

So, I need to update. How do you get back into blogging? I used to post everyday or so in high school & college, but now I’m lucky if I get in 5 posts a year.

Anyway, here’s what’s been happening this year (nothing super amazing):

  • I started allergy shots — would rather get stuck 100 times and be done than buying medicine for the rest of my life.
  • We got a new 55″ LCD TV (upgrade from a 32″) and TV stand and it’s awesome.
  • I got my ears pierced for my wedding and can finally wear dangly earrings. I know I’m like the last person in the world to do this :-P
  • I went on a Craigslist spree and got a bookcase, headboard for the guest bedroom, bedroom set for the master bedroom, and 2 console tables.
  • Mike’s brother got married.
  • We got a new kitchen faucet.
  • I joined MyFitnessPal in an attempt to be healthier. If you’re a member, feel free to add me!

That’s about it for now. Time to finish laundry/cleaning and playing The Sims 3!

Paint colors!

July 3, 2010 | 1:09 pm

Mike and I have finally chosen paint colors! Here’s the palette:

In order from top to bottom, left to right:

  • Belle Grove Aloe Green (to replace the dark green)
  • New Day (for the master bedroom)
  • Moonbeam (for the master bathroom and my office)
  • Serenity (for Mike’s office)
  • Warm Fog (for the first floor room)

Not sure when it’ll all happen yet, but definitely soon.

Goodbye apartment.

April 21, 2010 | 3:42 pm

Now that moving into my first real house will happen in June (!), it’s hard not to think about decorating and all the organization that can happen. So I’ll probably be posting a lot of pictures/links that I come across and find cool. Like this one:

Fish scale tiles

Fish scale tiles. I mean, how can you not like that?

Spam number log.

March 16, 2010 | 1:07 am

So I’ve been getting calls multiple times a day for almost a week from the same number: 610-266-9088. They never leave a message and a quick Google search reveals them to be what I call “phone spam.” Just ’cause I’m curious, below is a list of how many times a day they’ve called — hopefully over time they’ll realize I won’t answer and give up:

  • March 9th: 2 times
  • March 10th: 3 times
  • March 11th: 3 times
  • March 12th: 4 times
  • March 13th: 3 times
  • March 14th: none!
  • March 15th: 5 times
  • March 16th: 7 times
  • March 17th: 2 times
  • March 18th: none!
  • March 19th: 1 time
  • March 20th: 1 time
  • March 21st: none!
  • March 22nd: none!

Have they given up?

I’ll edit this post each day as needed. By the way, I know about this page — no need to post it

Best dish gloves evar.

January 24, 2010 | 5:11 pm

I know I don’t make many domestic-type posts, but I got Casabella’s Water Stop All-Purpose Gloves with my Amazon.com gift card a couple days ago, and they’re freakin’ awesome. Now I can wash dishes without taking off my rings, worrying about the water temperature, or dealing with dry skin! There’s also texturing on the fingers so soapy dishes stay where they’re supposed to. Granted, I’ve never owned dish gloves before, but I have a feeling these will be staying for a while.
