Happy Friday + anniversary.

Either my cleans have gotten better, or the class was so big that the coaches weren’t able to watch as much lol. But after my 5×2 I decided to try going into a squat instead of standing, so Dan watched that and he said things were good. So yay?

Yesterday was also my 1-year anniversary of working out consistently. In the past, I’d either exercise during the school year (horseback riding) or for a few weeks at a time in college … but then get tired, bored, busy, sore, or whatever and stop. At the end of August last year I decided to try the whole gym thing again, which worked for awhile (and was made better by reading my Kindle on the elliptical), but after 6 months or so wasn’t seeing that much of a result. I’d heard about CrossFit from various blogs I’d read and a couple people at work, so on a random Saturday I went to a free trial class. I ended up liking it so much that I signed up for 3 times a week on the spot, and the rest is history! Don’t see myself going through another workout drought anytime soon 🙂
