Wow, I have my first host — Veronica! Cool. Didn’t think it was that easy … and now that I think about it, I have family! LOL. Or at least the privilege to put up a “hosted” link or something *shrugs* But before anyone goes and gets ideas, keep in mind I won’t host random people. I gotta know (and trust) you in some way first.
Anyway, onto bigger and better things: my birthday, New York, anniversary, 4th of July … busy busy busy. But good good good too! The past month I’ve been so spoiled
I got like 1000 things for graduation, and now it’s that all over again (sorta) for turning 19 (and for 1 year with Brian). Not that I’m complaining, but other people need stuff too … or at least it seems that way? But ah well … I’m happy (except my stomach … blah) and I’m gonna enjoy it while it lasts. I have a feeling this week will be my last free one ’til GUH craziness, so I’m gonna try to squeeze in whatever I can. I know I’ll spend all of tomorrow at the mall and with Brian. And then this weekend I think we’re going clubbing (for the premiere of my fire boots lol), but not sure.
What else was I talking about? Oh yeah, New York. I walked a lot! But now I have a rekindled interest in walking … one reason I’m going to the mall tomorrow, lol. Umm, took the train up Friday afternoon, got there, had dinner, and went to see the fireworks. The show was supposed to be the best ever or something, and from what I know, it was definitely good (except for walking 20 blocks, waiting for 2 hours in the heat for it to start … and then it started late)! There were 4 barges (instead of just 1), and they did a synchronized show to music, complete with both new and improved formations and my favorites: hearts and smiley faces! They also had these funny fireworks that exploded, started to fall, but then were like oh no you don’t, and went back up again! It was cool.
Saturday … was shopping day (at Gap, Macy’s, and Virgin Megastore)! Plus more walking. And then it was De La Guarda. OMG. That show was frickin’ insane, weird, freaky, unexpected, etc. A few days later my grandpa’s explanation of “evolution” made some sense … though anything that combines haunted house music, African vibes, cold water, stage lights, a “ceiling” of tissue paper, confetti, balloons, naked guys swinging from ropes, and all action taking place overhead with a bunch of college kids in a dark, crowded, standing-room only area for 70 minutes … is definitely my idea of wtf? However, it was strangely appealing, and if I could see it a second time, I would — just without my family heh.
Sunday was slightly mellower. Went to Virgin Megastore again, said goodbye to my grandpa, went back home, did anime night with a cookout (and watched Natalie Portman reveal her bad self lol) … and then I collapsed into bed.
And today (technically yesterday) was Brian and I’s one-year anniversary! First of all, it’s awesome that it’s here. I’ve never had such a “real-feeling” first year and I can’t believe it’s gone so well, usually there’s something that goes wrong. But no … it’s like it’s too good to be true
So thanks to everyone and everything that made that happen, especially Brian. We went to dinner in Old Town at this little restaurant called Bilbo Baggins (yes, like the LOTR Bilbo). It was good, and I still have about half my meal — beef stroganoff with veggies and fettuccine — to enjoy for lunch tomorrow. Afterwards we walked around a bit, went down by the river, peeked in some stores, I got ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s, and then, with it being around 11 on a weeknight, headed back to the car and back home.
And now here I sit, aimlessly writing a huge post, almost asleep in the process … and satisfied that I can finally wrap it up and go to bed! So adios, everyone, sleep tight, and leave comments!
