Blue July.

January 28, 2007 | 7:17 pm

I’m not a big horoscope person, but add color to the mix and it’s a different story. According to Colorstrology, my birthday color is Aquatic:

Colorstrology

YOU have a great sense of humor and people love to laugh when you are near them. You have a unique way of seeing things. You are innovative and interesting and when confident, are extremely creative and resourceful. Try not to let doubt or conflicting emotions impede your productivity and growth. Your personal color enhances your appealing nature. Wearing, meditating or surrounding yourself with Aquatic protects you from debilitating emotions while allowing you to receive the good fortunes that await you.

The first part sounds mostly right, though I don’t think my sense of humor is that amazing or the “creative and resourceful while confident” aspect applies to everything.

Looking around my room, I don’t see many objects that are Aquatic-colored. There’s a fair amount of purple since that’s my favorite color next to black, but the only bluish things are my Nalgene water bottle, a couple art posters (like “If You Would Only Sing Along” by Jonathan Laib), and a winter-themed Puffs tissue box. I also tend to wear darker clothing … though my Christmas gift cards should fix that if I ever decide to tap the power of Pantone. And how exactly does one meditate their color?

Edit: Duh. I guess this site is as Aquatic as you can get. Go me!

February 24, 2006 | 2:24 am

This test is really accurate for only 2 questions:

The Romantic
You chose BY – your Enneagram type is FOUR. “I am unique.” Romantics have sensitive feelings and are warm and perceptive.

How to Get Along with Me

  • Give me plenty of compliments. They mean a lot to me.
  • Be a supportive friend or partner. Help me to learn to love and value
    myself.
  • Respect me for my special gifts of intuition and vision.
  • Though I don’t always want to be cheered up when I’m feeling melancholy, I sometimes like to have someone lighten me up a little.
  • Don’t tell me I’m too sensitive or that I’m overreacting!

What I Like About Being a Four

  • my ability to find meaning in life and to experience feeling at a deep
    level
  • my ability to establish warm connections with people
  • admiring what is noble, truthful, and beautiful in life
  • my creativity, intuition, and sense of humor
  • being unique and being seen as unique by others
  • having aesthetic sensibilities
  • being able to easily pick up the feelings of people around me

What’s Hard About Being a Four

  • feelings of self-hatred and shame; believing I don’t deserve to be loved
  • feeling guilty when I disappoint people
  • feeling hurt or attacked when someone misundertands me
  • expecting too much from myself and life
  • fearing being abandoned
  • obsessing over resentments
  • longing for what I don’t have

Fours as Children Often

  • have active imaginations: play creatively alone or organize playmates in original games
  • are very sensitive
  • feel that they don’t fit in
  • believe they are missing something that other people have
  • attach themselves to idealized teachers, heroes, artists, etc.
  • become antiauthoritarian or rebellious when criticized or not understood
  • feel lonely or abandoned (perhaps as a result of a death or their parents’ divorce)

Fours as Parents

  • help their children become who they really are
  • support their children’s creativity and originality
  • are good at helping their children get in touch with their feelings
  • are sometimes overly critical or overly protective
  • are usually very good with children if not too self-absorbed

My test tracked 2 variables. How you compared to other people your age and gender:

Score #1 Score #1
You scored higher than 25% on ABC
Score #2 Score #2
You scored higher than 58% on XYZ

Hehe.

Hanson click quiz
You should focus on Isaac. You’re quiet and reserved. You tend to like the simple things in life, however you could go for some action soon, the History Channel is only gonna suffice for so long. What Hanson would you most likely click with?
